Settlement Method
Physical delivery is used as the settlement method for the stocks futures and stocks options contracts. In the stocks futures and stocks options contracts, physical delivery takes place in a dematerialized manner.
The settlement method for the stocks index futures, stocks index options, foreign exchange trades, foreign exchange options, gold futures, commodity, power, scrapped steel and FBIST Exchange Traded Funds futures contracts is cash settlement. For the options, the profit/loss at the end of maturity will be the difference between the exercise price of the option and the settlement price that occurs at the end of maturity. For the futures contracts, the profit/loss at the end of maturity is exchanged in cash between the parties.
