Good morning. The US Treasury’s decision to double its purchases of long-term bonds provided a boost to Wall Street sentiment. US futures are in positive territory this morning, European futures are slightly negative, while Asian equities are generally trading higher. The Fed minutes indicated that some members without voting rights this year also favored a rate hike, while expectations for a Fed rate hike in January or March 2027 remain in place. Oil prices remain balanced following statements that alternative supply routes to the Strait of Hormuz are available and that US-controlled supply continues through the southern part of the strait. In Borsa Istanbul, the 14,200–14,250 resistance zone was broken yesterday, supported by capital inflows, foreign buying and higher trading volume. The technical outlook remains positive, and the upward move can be expected to continue as long as the index holds above this region. The BIST 100 Index rose 2.3% yesterday to 14,459 points. The biggest positive contributors were ASELS, TUPRS, BIMAS, AKBNK, and ASTOR, while ODINE, EUPWR, GRSEL, GENIL, and ODAS had the largest negative impact. The stocks that have stood out with consistent capital inflows over the past week are ASELS, TUPRS, BIMAS, AKBNK, SELEC, RYGYO, RALYH, TOASO, TTRAK, OYAKC, BOBET, and OZYSR. With 95% of BIST companies having reported their 2Q26 financial results, the earnings season has effectively been completed, excluding companies that requested extensions and those with special fiscal periods. On today’s agenda, domestic reserve data and foreign investor transactions will be monitored. In the US, initial jobless claims and comments from Fed officials will be closely watched.
